Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Property Vault is currently operating as a pilot service. This document reflects how the pilot works today and will be reviewed with legal advisers before general availability.
The short version
Property Vault uses one essential cookie, and nothing else. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels — on any page.
The one cookie
- pv_session — set only when a professional signs in to the admin area. It keeps you logged in and expires after 7 days or when you log out. It is essential for the service to function, so it does not require consent under UK rules (PECR).
What we deliberately don't do
- Homeowner record pages set no cookies at all — homeowners access their record by secure link, with no account and nothing stored in their browser.
- We run no third-party scripts anywhere on the site, so nobody else can set cookies through us either.
- Usage measurement (record opens, document views) happens on our servers, first-party only, without cookies, IP retention or fingerprinting — see the Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking pv_session simply means professional users cannot stay signed in to the admin area; the public site and homeowner records work regardless.
