Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 July 2026
Property Vault is currently operating as a pilot service. This document reflects how the pilot works today and will be reviewed with legal advisers before general availability.

1. The service

Property Vault provides secure, permanent records of residential property history. Professionals create records containing events, stages and evidence documents; homeowners receive a secure link to view their record and may share scoped, read-only views with third parties such as solicitors, agents, insurers and surveyors.

2. Pilot status

The service is currently offered as a pilot. Features, pricing and these terms may change as the service matures; we will give existing users reasonable notice of material changes. Pricing shown on this site indicates intended post-pilot pricing unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Accounts and access links

Professional account holders must keep their credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under their account. Homeowner and shared links must be treated as confidential: anyone holding a valid link can view what that link's scope permits. Links can be withdrawn, and shared links expire automatically after 90 days.

4. What "verified" means — important

A Verification Level describes the state of the record: that documents exist, that issuers have been identity-checked, and that files are unaltered since issue. It is never a statement about the quality, safety or compliance of the underlying work. Property Vault does not inspect properties and does not warrant workmanship. Decisions about a property should be made on professional advice, not on a Verification Level alone.

5. Acceptable use

You must not upload unlawful content, misrepresent documents or identities, attempt to circumvent access scopes, probe or disrupt the service, or use it to infringe others' rights. We may suspend access that threatens the integrity or security of the service.

6. Content and ownership

Organisations and homeowners retain all rights in the documents they upload. You grant us the licence needed to store, fingerprint, display and share them according to the access controls you set. The Property Vault software, design and branding remain ours.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, the service is provided with reasonable skill and care but "as is" during the pilot; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales having exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continue. Questions: hello@propertyvault.ai.
